Youth Court
Youth courts are now recognized as one of the fastest growing crime education, prevention and intervention programs in the nation. WASA worked with the local Magistrate Court, Justice of the Peace Court and Juvenile Probation to establish a youth driven model that regularly hold sentencing court for misdemeanor's, traffic violations and school infractions as referred by appropriate authorities. This successful model has been embraced by both the local high school and Cochise County College so that it is a lab for dual-credit Criminal Justice class. In September 2011 hosted the Statewide Youth Court Summit where youth courts from around the state met and learned together.
